Ultra-weak photon emission as a potential tool for evaluating the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with type 2 diabetes

چکیده

BackgroundTraditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been used to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes (T2DM) for thousands of years. The holistic view TCM the “multitarget” characteristics have unique advantages in prevention treatment T2DM. syndrome differentiation are effective T2DM; however, currently, therapeutic effect is generally evaluated by asking patients' subjective feelings, or checking changes relevant indicators. main problems that patient's descriptions unclear subjective, although self-reported symptoms may improved significantly, indicators sometimes not obvious, which cannot truly reflect TCM. Therefore, it urgent develop a novel, sensitive, noninvasive method quantitatively evaluate TCM.MethodsIn this study, ultra-weak photon emission (UPE) was measured at four sites hands T2DM patients with Qi-Yin deficiency before after 1 weeks UPE intensity spectral distribution were calculated analyzed using results these sites. Spearman's correlation coefficient quantify between parameters scores TCM.ResultsThe decreased gradually course significantly lower than treatment. ratio counts wavelength ranges 495–550 nm 550–610 higher negatively correlated corresponding so degree improvement could be characterized (495–550 nm/550–610 nm).ConclusionsThe can shown level UPE. potential tool evaluating

Revisiting the mitogenetic effect of ultra-weak photon emission

This paper reviews the 90 years long controversial history of the so-called "mitogenetic radiation," the first case of non-chemical distant interactions, reported by Gurwitsch (1923). It was soon described as ultraweak UV, emitted by a number of biological systems, and stimulating mitosis in "competent" (in this sense) cells. In the following 20 years this phenomenon attracted enormous interest...

Effect of Home Care Program on Therapeutic Adherence of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes

Aims: One of the challenges for diabetics is following a treatment regimen. Educating the patient at home increases the ability to take care of themselves. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of home care program on the therapeutic adherence of patients with type 2 diabetes. Materials & Methods: This quasi-experimental study was performed on 80 patients with type 2 dia...

Detection of Ultraweak Photon Emission (UPE) from Cells as a Tool for Pathological Studies

Objective: It is well-known that all living cells emit ultra-weak photon emission (UPE), which is due to byproducts of chemical reactions in cell metabolisms. It has been shown that Reactive Oxygen Species (ROS) in the cells enhances the UPE intensity. The magnitude of such UPE is extremely weak (i.e. a few to 103 photons/ (sec.cm2)), and the detection of such ultra-weak signals is hardly possi...

Celastrol: a new therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese medicine.

I nflammation and oxidative stress play a pivotal role in the development of atherosclerosis, and they are strongly associated with cardiovascular disease risk, including hypertension and metabolic syndrome. Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) is an inducible rate-limiting enzyme that catalyzes heme into equimolar amounts of carbon monoxide, biliverdin/bilirubin, and the release of free iron. In recent yea...
